IMA State Working Committee Meeting Returns to Lucknow After 22 Years
22 Aug 2026, Lucknow: The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Lucknow Branch, organised a grand Gala Dinner and Welcome Reception on Saturday, August 22, at Aamodh Resort, Lucknow, on the eve of the 3rd State Working Committee (SWC) Meeting 2026.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior IMA office-bearers, State Working Committee members and eminent doctors from different districts of Uttar Pradesh, along with several elected representatives and distinguished guests.
The evening provided an opportunity for meaningful interaction between the medical fraternity and public representatives. The dignitaries appreciated the contribution of doctors towards society and public health and shared their views on the challenges faced by the medical community and ways to further strengthen healthcare services across Uttar Pradesh.
Among the prominent dignitaries present were Hon’ble Dr. Amit Chauhan, MLA, Bikapur Assembly Constituency, Ayodhya; Hon’ble Shri Asim Kumar, MLA, Tamkuhi Raj Assembly Constituency, Kushinagar; Hon’ble Dr. Surabhi, MLA, Kaimganj Assembly Constituency, Farrukhabad; Hon’ble Dr. Neeraj Bora, MLA, Lucknow North Assembly Constituency; and Hon’ble Dr. Manglesh Kumar Srivastava, Mayor of Gorakhpur, along with several other public representatives and distinguished guests.
The IMA Lucknow Branch warmly welcomed and felicitated the state leadership of IMA, senior office-bearers, representatives of various IMA branches and members of the medical fraternity.
State Working Committee Meeting from 9:00 AM on August 23
The formal proceedings of the 3rd State Working Committee Meeting 2026 will commence at 9:00 AM on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Aamodh Resort, Lucknow. State Working Committee members and senior IMA office-bearers from different districts of Uttar Pradesh will participate in the meeting.
The meeting will deliberate on key organisational matters of IMA, important issues concerning doctors, practical challenges in healthcare delivery, the safety and professional interests of medical practitioners, and measures to further strengthen healthcare services across the state.
Significantly, the IMA State Working Committee meets every three months, and IMA Lucknow Branch has received the privilege of hosting this important meeting after a gap of nearly 22 years, making the occasion particularly significant for the medical fraternity of Lucknow.
State Level Refresher Course & CME 2026 to Run Throughout the Day
Alongside the State Working Committee Meeting, IMA Lucknow Branch will also organise the State Level Refresher Course & CME 2026 on August 23. The academic programme will continue throughout the day and will feature lectures and scientific sessions by distinguished and experienced medical professionals from across the state.
The Refresher Course and CME aim to update participating doctors on recent advances in medical science, modern treatment approaches, important aspects of clinical practice and contemporary healthcare challenges. It will also provide a platform for doctors from across Uttar Pradesh to exchange knowledge, clinical experience and professional perspectives with experts from different specialties.
